Hunter Lovins is a globally recognised environmental leader, social entrepreneur, and pioneer of regenerative economics whose work has helped shape the modern sustainability movement. She is President and Founder of Natural Capitalism Solutions, Managing Director of NOW Partners, and Steward of COPx, a global initiative supporting local and collective climate action.
She is best known as a co-creator of the concept of Natural Capitalism, which reframes economic systems to value and protect natural resources while improving productivity and resilience. Over more than three decades, she has worked at the intersection of environmental science, business innovation, and systems change to advance regenerative economic models.
Lovins co-founded the Rocky Mountain Institute, where she served as CEO for 20 years, helping build it into a leading global organisation in clean energy and systems innovation. Earlier in her career, she co-founded TreePeople, advancing urban reforestation and community-based water resilience. She is also a founding professor of Sustainable Management at Bard MBA.
