Andrea Barbabella is a founding partner and board member of the Foundation for Sustainable Development, where he is responsible for the Climate and Energy division and the Research and Projects division. He also serves as coordinator of Italy for Climate, the Italian initiative launched in 2019 to support climate action and promote advanced decarbonization strategies.
Graduated in Environmental Sciences, he has coordinated numerous research projects related to the green economy, climate transition and sustainable development. His expertise includes sustainability analysis and modeling, performance evaluation systems, environmental indicators and sustainability reporting.
Throughout his career, he has supported institutions, local authorities and private organizations in defining strategies, policies and operational frameworks connected to the ecological transition and climate resilience.
His work combines scientific analysis, policy development and strategic planning, contributing to the advancement of sustainable and low-carbon development pathways at both national and local level.
