Francesco Monico

Francesco Monico is an Italian academic, media theorist, and educator whose work focuses on contemporary art, visual culture, and the philosophy of technology. He is professor of Archetypes of the Imaginary and Philosophy of Technology at several Italian universities and academies.

He founded the School of Media Design and Multimedia Arts at NABA in Milan and has directed the PhD program in Art & Media at Plymouth University within the Planetary Collegium (M)T-Node. He is currently director of the Accademia Unidee of the Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella.

His research explores the relationship between art, media, technology, and society, with a strong emphasis on experimental education and new forms of artistic expression.
