Paola Mercogliano is Principal Scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) and President of the Italian Society for Climate Sciences (SISC) for the 2025–2026 term. She has extensive experience in the production of local climate scenarios, climate risk assessment, and adaptation to climate change. . At CMCC, she leads scientific activities focused on the analysis of extreme events, climate impacts on cities and infrastructures, and the development of climate services to support decision-making. Her work combines advanced climate modelling, risk assessment, and stakeholder-oriented applications to improve resilience to climate change.
